Brick by Joel Skavdahl . $5, 16 page color newspaper. Published by Neoglyphic Media

One of the best things in this world is the comic newspaper, and in Brick, we have one of the most calming and refreshing ones there can be. Joel Skavdahl’s comic abstract expressionism comes to life in a strange sort of animation dancing movement that only comics can provide, and nothing else. Some might not call these comics, but some are fools! Reminiscent of Alechinsky’s Marginalia, these true comics will tiptoe through your imagination, like staring out the window, listening to jazz, and drinking black coffee on a Sunday afternoon. -review by Floyd Tangeman
