In Pictopia by Alan Moore and Don Simpson. $20, 28 pages. Full color. Published by Fantagraphics.

One of the best loved stories in comics history, finally published on its own. Yes, high price tag for a single story, but the added commentary in the back is fascinating, and the story itself is finally printed with the care it deserves. If you've read Watchmen, here's a story that covers similar ground but (to me) with a lot more heart and a lot more poetry. Also...Don Simpson, possibly the most underrated cartoonist around, graces every page of this.
