San Francisco Comic Book #7, edited by Gary Arlington. $20, 1970

Gary Arlington is one of the most important figures in comics. He opened the nations first comic book store in San Francisco in the late 1960s. As a young comic reader, I walked into that shop in the mid 90s, and Arlington introduced me to EC comics, which he played an important role in. Arlington loved underground comics, and his anthology San Francisco Comic Book, is one of the more artistically on-point late underground offerings. Real deal comics.
