Tejano Exile by Jaxon. $5. Comic books size, 46 pages, color cover, black and white interior. Published by Last Gasp in 1980

Jaxon, to me, is one of the most underrated underground cartoonists. Rarely properly credited for being one of the first underground artists, his work itself is truly stunning. He absorbed Severin and Wood better than his peers, and his historical comics are mature, beautiful and sad. Must read comics, these deliver.
